Hello beloved guests

We’re so excited to celebrate our special day with you! As it approaches quickly, here are some guidelines for the weekend:

‍Getting from Calgary International Airport to Banff/Canmore

  • Rent a car (highly recommend if you’re staying longer than the weekend)
  • Take a shuttle via Banff Airporter ($110 USD round trip) for direct to hotel. We’ve taken this and it’s reliable, just expensive
  • You can also take a FlixBus for  way cheaper ($25 USD round trip). We’ve never used the FlixBus here but had a good experience in other places
  • We’ll put all guests in a WhatsApp groupchat to coordinate carpools in case that happens to work out

‍Friday, August 28th: Welcome drinks at Park Distillery Banff

  • Dress code: dressy casual. Don’t forget a light jacket! It gets cooler at night in Banff.
  • Time: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM, will hold an activity at 7PM so please show up for it!
  • Location: Upstairs at PARK Distillery Restaurant + Bar
  • Getting there from
    • Banff downtown: enjoy a lovely walk to the venue!
    • Canmore: Roam Transit bus (Route 3) to Banff High School Transit Hub. Schedule is here. Buses run approximately every 25 minutes. Use the Token Transit app to get tickets (these buses don’t have tap to pay). Fare is $6 each way. The last bus to Canmore leaves Banff High School Transit Hub at 11:29.
    • Feel free to drive if you’re not planning on drinking (but ONLY YOU can help us meet our food & beverage minimum)‍
  • Food and bev will be served so come hungry!

Saturday, August 29th: Wedding at Fairmont Banff Springs

  • Dress Code: summer formal. Ankle or floor length dresses, suit and tie (mood board)
  • Time: Ceremony starts 3:30 PM sharp. Guests should arrive by 3:00PM LATEST
  • Location: Bow View Terrace (map attached, please allow yourself ample time to find it)
  • Shuttle Schedule at the bottom of the page
  • Timeline
    • 4:00 PM Cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony
    • 6:00 PM Dinner following cocktail hour (We’ve submitted your dietary restrictions but please remember to remind your server of any allergies just in case)
    • 9:00 PM Afterparty: just follow the bride and groom!

Sunday, August 30th: Day after hiking activity at Lake Agnes Tea House

Totally optional but come recover with us with a beautiful hike at the legendary Lake Louise! It’ll be a trail that ends at a tea house that serves refreshments.  

  • Wear comfortable outdoor shoes and a bucket/boonie hat (it’s very sunny)
  • Bring water and sunscreen
  • Getting there: Use the Token Transit app to shuttle to Lake Louise, or drive/carpool

Misc

  • If you’re driving a rental into Banff, you will need to purchase a parking pass. You can do it ahead of time or at the gate (we always do it at the gate). If you’re staying at an AirBnB in Canmore usually they have a parking pass you can use.
  • Please go outside as much as you can while you’re here! It is so beautiful and it’s our wish that you explore the park to its fullest extent!

  • Each Loop only fits 24 passengers so try to take the earlier one if you can!
  • Day Loop 1
    • 1:00 PM: Pick up @ Buffalo Mountain Lodge
    • 1:15 PM: Pick up @ The Banff Inn
    • 1:30 PM: Pick up @ Mount Royal Hotel parking lot
    • 1:50 PM: Drop off @ Fairmont Banff Springs
  • Day Loop 2
    • 2:10 PM: Pick up @ Buffalo Mountain Lodge
    • 2:25 PM: Pick up @ Banff Inn
    • 2:40 PM: Pick up @ Mount Royal Hotel parking lot
    • 3:00 PM: Final drop off @ Fairmont Banff Springs
  • Night loops (Tell the bus driver where you’re staying and you’ll be dropped off right outside!)
    • 11:00 PM
    • 12:00 AM
    • 01:00 AM
    • 02:15 AM: Last Shuttle!

Canmore

  • Day Loop: There is only one, please do not miss it! Show up to the closest point 5 minutes early
    • 1:30 PM: Pickup @ Blackstone Mountain Lodge
    • 1:40 PM: Pickup @ 1408 Spring Creek Gate — loading zone outside the building if free, otherwise they will need to park further down the street if needed
    • 1:50 PM: Pickup @ 1200 Railway Ave — driver to pick up on road between the Safeway Liquor Store and Canadian Tire
    • 2:30 PM: Drop off @ Fairmont Banff Springs.
  • Night Loops (Tell the bus driver where you're staying!)
    • 11:00 PM
    • 12:30 AM
    • 02:15 AM: Final Shuttle!
